Q. Will my painting be ready to hang?
A. Yes, all paintings will come with picture wire already fixed and ready to hang.
Q. What do you paint on?
A. I either paint on stretched canvas or cradled panel boards. Both come in either standard (1” deep) or gallery wrapped (1.5” deep).
Q. Are your paintings framed?
A. No, because I paint using cold wax the majority of my paintings will be on cradled panel boards to prevent the paint from cracking. I generally paint the edges of the cradled panel with black or one of the darkest hues found in the painting. All paintings come ready to hang.
Q. What mediums do you use?
A. I mainly work in oil paint mixed with cold wax medium. I also love to experiment with many other mediums such as pastels, charcoal and watercolours but always come back to oils.
Q. Do you teach classes?
A. Not yet but plan to offer online classes in the near future. Sign up for my newsletter to receive information on upcoming classes once they become available.
Q. Do you take commissions?
A. Yes, I have a really easy process for any art commissions - No money down and No obligation to purchase the abstract painting if you are not completely satisfied with it.
First Step: Is to sit down together either via ZOOM or by phone and discuss what your needs are (size, colours, style etc). I can even work with your Interior Designer to create a beautiful, one of a kind, abstract painting that will compliment your interior space and design.
Second Step: Once we agree on all the details such as size and price, I’ll begin your contemporary oil and cold wax work of art. Once your commissioned painting is near completion, I’ll send a few photos for your approval and will make any changes if you feel it’s not exactly what you envisioned for your space.
Last Step: When you’re completely satisfied with your brand new one of a kind contemporary painting you can purchase it directly through my art website with secure checkout through either PayPal or stripe or we can arrange for an e-transfer if you are within Canada.
In the event you are not feeling that it's the right painting for your space, no worries...you are NOT obligated to buy it. I will sell it at a later date.
FYI, my art commission prices for all originals paintings are very affordable as there is no difference in price from artwork already listed in my Artist Gallery.
Q. How will my painting be wrapped?
A. It all depends on the size of the original artwork being sent. All paintings are carefully packed using corner protection, bubble wrap and cardboard. Each one is unique so I take care that each painting is well protected to arrive in perfect condition. For further details about delivery please see Purchasing & Shipping.
Q. My favourite painting has sold, how can I be sure to know about new work in the future?
A. Some pieces sell very quickly. Make sure you subscribe to my mailing list to receive information about new work before it is added to my art website. You can also follow my studio work on Instagram for a more up to date and personal account of what I’m up to.
